Sierra Lakes Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Fontana, California.
Sierra Lakes Golf Course opened for play in 2000. The course was designed by Ted Robinson.
Robinson is known for his "water" courses, and Sierra Lakes has creeks and lakes along its fairways, however, you also need to be on the watch here for tricky bunkers, rocks and desert brush areas. There are also a fair number of moguls and little knolls to contend with. The course has as a backdrop, the San Bernardino Mountains.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,805 yards. From the forward tees the course plays to 5,324 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 8, a par-5 that plays to 569 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 13, a par-3 that plays to 162 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 433 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Sierra Lakes Golf Course is # 13, the short 162 yard par-3.

Played (badly) in our monthly traveling club tournament. Been playing here since the course opened. It is always in good condition. The only potential downside is it's proximity to the bottom of Cajon pass. When the Santa Ana's blow it can be unplayable.

Great course, tee boxes are in great shape as well as the fairways. The greens are undulating and challenging but run true n fast. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. Love this course, I am a member of the Men's club here and will be as long as I play golf.

Good Challenging coarse, very well maintained and nice people. Seniors pay #39 during the week and as a single they can always get you out before 8 am

$74.00 WAY to much for this course. Maybe $50-$55 more like it, especially with all the $35-$55 courses around. Temperature was 105 AND THEY CHARGED $1.00 FOR A CUP OF ICE!!!!!!!!!!!

I've played this course several times and it always seems to be in great condition. It can play especially tough if your in the rough and it hasn't been mowed recently!

I play this course on a regular basis. The staff is outstanding and always willing to make concessions to players who are looking to get out and enjoy their course. The only drawback to Fontana is you never know when the wind may kick up and kill your round. No better value for early morning golf anywhere.

I'm still pissed that the hot dog ticket I was given by the our tournament director could not be traded in or upgraded for a veggie or any other sandwich. The women (i think she was blond and around 45) was not very friendly. But from the starter to the marshalls and any other staff we came in contact with were pleasant. Tom

Always in great condition. Greens are well kept and fast. Not too tough of a layout. Good confidence builder of a course.

Course is not on the difficult side if you have any length. Wind will make it tricky but what not blowing this day. Greens are in good shape for the amount of traffic. Always a lush, green course.

Wide fairways makes Sierra Lakes reasonably forgiving. The wind (especially in the afternoon) is the challenge.

Very windy course, especially in the afternoons. At the bottom of the Cajon Pass, the wind as "the" challenge of this course. Fairways are generous and the course is forgiving. Water on two of the par threes adds to the excitement.

Course was overbooked, which pushed our tournament group back over 1 hour. Staff was courteous, and brought free drinks to all players affected by delay. Course is player friendly, but somewhat overpriced. Should be in the $50 - 60 range on weekends rather than over $70.00

I play here every Tuesday with friends and it's usually in pretty nice condition but it seems like lately they've been overwatering and the fairways are not in great shape with way more dead spots than usual. The other issue I have with this course is that they don't have a junior rate, charging kids the same amount as adults which in the summer forces us to go elsewhere when I take my 14 year old son with me. For example, Oak Quarry, a few miles away and a MUCH better course, charges junior golfers $30. Sierra Lakes would be smart to learn from them.
